2019 Outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 at Linos Restaurant, Illinois
Illinois public health officials investigated an outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 infections among people who dined at Lino's Pizza and Italian Restaurant located in Rockford, Illinois. Implicated meal dates occurred on May 27 and May 28, 2019. Four confirmed cases and 2 probable cases were identified. Two people were hospitalized. No one died. Food handlers were tested. None was positive for E. coli O157. STEC was not detected in foods tested. The specific food or other vehicle of transmission was not determined.
