2019 Outbreak of Norovirus Associated with Ixtapa Mexican Restaurant, Redmond, Washington
In November 2019 Public Health Seattle King County (PHSKC) investigated an outbreak of norovirus-like illness with vomiting, diarrhea, body aches, chills and fever associated with Ixtapa Mexican Restaurant located in Redmond, Washington.
Three people from one meal party reported illness after consuming food from Ixtapa on October 30, 2019. No one was hospitalized and no one died. Investigators did not identify how norovirus was spread within the restaurant.
