2019 Outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis Infections Associated with Al Basha Restaurant, Seattle, Washington
Public Health Seattle King County (PHSKC) investigated an outbreak of salmonellosis associated with Al Basha Restaurant located in Seattle. Three people from three separate meal parties were ill following meals consumed between September 15 and September 23, 2019. One person was hospitalized. No one died. No employees of the restaurant reported having symptoms consistent with salmonellosis. A specific food or drink item that might have caused the outbreak was not identified.
