2020 Multistate Outbreak of Salmonella Rubislaw Infections Associated with Mangoes
In 2020 CDC and their state and local partners investigated an outbreak of Salmonella Rubislaw infections associated with consumption of mangoes. Thirty-seven outbreak associated cases were reported from 9 states. Fourteen cases were hospitalized. No one died. Dates of illness onset ranged from May 5, 2020 to July 1, 2020. The outbreak strain was isolated in mangoes imported from Mexico.
The outbreak was assigned CDC PulseNet Cluster 2006MLJLP-1.
