In February 2020, Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) staff investigated an outbreak of norovirus associated with a luncheon held at an event space in Glencoe, Minnesota. Two attendees described vomiting and diarrhea within 36 hours of the February 16 meal. No one was hospitalized and no one died.

MDH environmental health staff interviewed all 4 employees of the event space. Two reported recent illness. Illness onsets for the employees were February 14 and February 15. Both employees worked on February 16 and helped prepare sandwiches and coleslaw for the luncheon. Both submitted stool specimens which were positive for norovirus GII.
