2020 Outbreak of Norovirus Gastroenteritis Associated with a Restaurant, Minnesota
Seven people from different dining parties became ill with norovirus after eating at a restaurant in Woodbury, Minnesota. The implicated meal date was February 22, 2020. No one was hospitalized and no one died. One patron submitted a stool sample which was positive for GII.1[P16].
Washington County Environmental Health sanitarians interviewed 62 employees. Seven employees reported recent gastrointestinal symptoms since February 10. Illness onset dates ranged from February 10 to February 26. Sanitarians also noted bare-hand contact with ready-to-eat foods and a general lack of active managerial control.
