2021 Multistate Outbreak of Listeriosis Associated with Leafy Greens
Public health officials investigated an outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes infections beginning in January 2021. Twelve cases were identified. All twelve cases were hospitalized. Five people died.
The source of the outbreak was described as leafy greens by the Washington Department of Health.
