2021 Multistate Outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis Associated with Animal Contact
In March 2021, public health officials investigated an outbreak of salmonellosis associated with contact with baby chicks and ducklings. Ninety-two people were ill. Fifteen people were hospitalized. One person died.
