2021 Multistate Outbreak of Salmonellosis Associated with Chicks and Ducklings
In February 2021, local, state, and federal officials investigated an outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis infections associated with contact with backyard chicks and ducklings. Twenty-one people were ill. Six people were hospitalized. No one died.
