In February 2021, Utah public health officials investigated an outbreak of Anatoxin-a illnesses associated with a river/stream in a national park. Twenty-eight people were ill. One person was hospitalized. No one died.
Anatoxin-a is a neurotoxic cyanobacterial toxin also known as blue-green algae.
