2021 Outbreak of Bacterial Toxins Associated with a Banquet Facility, California

In September 2021, California public health officials investigated an outbreak of suspected bacterial toxin infection, either Bacillus cereus or Clostridium perfringens. The outbreak was associated with consuming rice or beans served at a banquet facility. Thirty-four people were ill. No one was hospitalized and no one died.
