2021 Outbreak of Ciguatoxin Associated with Consuming Mackerel, Puerto Rico
In May 2021, public health officials in Puerto Rico investigated an outbreak of ciguatoxin poisoning associated with consuming king mackerel served at a private home. Three people were ill. One person was hospitalized. No one died.
