2021 Outbreak of Ciguatoxin Poisoning at a Private Home, Puerto Rico
In March 2021, public health officials in Puerto Rico investigated a confirmed outbreak of ciguatoxin poisoning associated with grouper served at a private home. Six people were ill. No one was hospitalized and no one died.
