2021 Outbreak of Foodborne Illness Associated with a Fast Food Restaurant, Puerto Rico
In May 2021, public health officials in Puerto Rico investigated a foodborne illness outbreak associated with a fast-food restaurant. Three people were ill. One person was hospitalized and one person died. The implicated vehicle of transmission was a steak sandwich.
The etiology was not reported.
