In October 2021, Colorado public health officials investigated an outbreak of Salmonella I 4,[5],12:i:- infections associated with consumption of ground beef. Twenty-five outbreak associated cases were identified. Five people were hospitalized. No one died. Locations were reported as fast-food restaurants and private homes.
