2021 Outbreak of Salmonellosis Associated with Dehydrated Dog Treats, Massachusetts
In December 2021, public health officials investigated an outbreak of Salmonella infections associated with dehydrated dog treats made with chicken. Three serotypes were detected: Salmonella Infantis, Salmonella Typhimurium, and Salmonella Schwarzengrund. Three people were ill. No one was hospitalized and no one died. The setting was described as "office/indoor workplace."
