2021 Outbreak of Shiga toxin E. coli Infections Associated with Carne Asada, Idaho

In May 2021, public health officials in Idaho investigated an outbreak of suspected Shiga toxin E. coli (STEC) among 2 people who ate at a restaurant. Neither person was hospitalized and neither person died. The suspected vehicle of transmission was carne asada.
