2021 Outbreak of STEC O157:H7 Infections Associated with Pork Shoulder, Tennessee

In May 2021, public health officials in Tennessee investigated an outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 infections associated with consumption of pork shoulder (pernil) served at a private home. Six people were ill. One person was hospitalized. No one died.
