2022 Outbreak of Norovirus-like Illness Associated with The Rock Wood Fired Pizza in Renton, Washington
In February 2022, Public Health Seattle King County (PHSKC) investigated a confirmed outbreak of norovirus associated with The Rock Wood Fired Pizza restaurant located in Renton, Washington. Thirteen people (10 patrons from 3 meal parties and 3 staff) reported becoming ill after eating food from the restaurant between February 19 and 20, 2022. No one was hospitalized and no one died.
PHSKC identified three ill employees who reported symptoms consistent with norovirus dating back to February 20, 2022, but who did not work while sick.
