In April 2022 Public Health Seattle King County (PHSKC) investigated an outbreak of norovirus among customers of La Fuente restaurant located at 3221 NE Sunset Boulevard in Renton, Washington. Ten people from two separate dining parties reported becoming ill after eating at La Fuente on April 10, 2022. One person tested positive for norovirus. No one was hospitalized and no one died. No ill employees were identified.

Environmental Health investigators visited the restaurant on April 15. Investigators identified improper handwashing and glove use. The restaurant closed that day which reopened the next day once PHSKC investigators confirmed proper cleaning and disinfection.
