2023 Multistate Outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis Infections Associated with Raw Cookie Dough
In May 2023, local, state and federal officials investigated an outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis infections associated with Papa Murphy's raw cookie dough. Six states reported 26 people infected with the outbreak strain. Illnesses started on dates ranging from February 24, 2023 to May 28, 2023. Four people were hospitalized. No one died.
Papa Murphy's temporarily stopped selling their raw chocolate chip cookie dough and raw S'mores bar dough.
