2023 Outbreak of Bacillus cereus Infections Associated with a Restaurant in Pierce County, Washington
In November 2023, public health officials in Pierce County, Washington investigated an outbreak suspected to be caused by infection with Bacillus cereus. Eight people were ill. One person was hospitalized. No one died.
The implicated vehicles of transmission were bone broth, fish cake, cooked vegetables and black goat casserole soup.
