2023 Outbreak of Bacterial Toxin Associated with Rice and Pinto Beans, Washington
In November 2023, public health officials in Yakima, Washington, investigated an outbreak of foodborne illness associated with rice and pinto beans served at a restaurant. Two people were ill. No one was hospitalized and no one died.
The etiology was reported as "suspected bacterial toxin."
