2023 Outbreak of Clostridium perfringens and Bacillus cereus Infections Associated with a Caterer, Ohio
In September 2023, public health officials in Ohio investigated an outbreak associated with catered food. The agents were reported as Clostridium perfringens and Bacillus cereus. The vehicles of transmission were reported as mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, Italian chicken, and roast beef. One hundred people were ill. No one was hospitalized and no one died.
