2023 Outbreak of Cyclosporiasis Associated with a Restaurant, Alabama
In May 2023, public health officials in Alabama investigated an outbreak of Cyclospora cayetanensis infections associated with a restaurant. Forty-seven people were ill. No one was hospitalized and no one died.
The implicated vehicle of transmission was cilantro imported from Mexico.
