2023 Outbreak of Foodborne Illness Associated with a Caterer, Illinois
In Jume 2023, Illinois public health officials investigated an outbreak of foodborne illness associated with a catered event. Thirteen people were ill. One person was hospitalized. No one died.
The suspected etiology was Clostridium perfringens or Bacillus cereus. The vehicle of transmission was not reported.
