2023 Outbreak of Legionnaires Disease Associated with a Hot Tub, Illinois
In February 2023, Illinois public health officials investigated a waterborne outbreak of Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1 infections associated with a hot tub/spa/whirlpool at a hotel/motel. Two people were ill. Both were hospitalized. No one died.
