2023 Outbreak of Legionnaires Disease Associated with a Multi-Unit Housing Residence, Kentucky
In June 2023, Kentucky public health officials investigated a waterborne outbreak of Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1 at a multi-unit housing residence. The implicated source was treated recreational water in a hot tub/spa/whirlpool. Four people were ill. All four were hospitalized. No one died.
