2023 Outbreak of Legionnaires Disease Associated with Drinking Water at a Hotel, Maryland
In August 2023, public health officials in Maryland investigated a waterborne outbreak of Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1 infections associated with a private well at a hotel/motel. Three people were ill. All three people were hospitalized. No one died.
