2023 Outbreak of Legionnaires Disease Associated with Treated Water, Florida
In September 2023, Florida public health officials investigated a waterborne outbreak of Legionella pneumophila associated with treated recreational water in a hot tub/spa/whirlpool. Three people were ill. All three were hospitalized. No one died.
The setting was reported as "outdoor area."
