2023 Outbreak of Legionnaires Disease at a Fee-based Facility, Florida
In April 2023, public health officials in Florida investigated a waterborne outbreak of Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1 illnesses associated with a fee-based facility/membership club. Two people were ill. Both were hospitalized. Neither died.
The suspected source was treated water in a hot tub/spa/whirlpool.
