2023 Outbreak of Legionnaires Disease at a Multi-Unit Housing Building, Maryland
In May 2023, Maryland public health officials investigated a waterborne outbreak of Legionella pneumophila Serogroup 1 associated with a hot tub/spa/whirlpool at a multi-unit housing residence. Two people were ill. Both were hospitalized. One person died.
