2023 Outbreak of Norovirus at Sushi Nine Restaurant, North Carolina

Wake County Public Health and Wake County Environmental Services investigated an outbreak of norovirus among patrons of Sushi Nine, a restaurant located in Raleigh, North Carolina. In total, Wake County received 242 complaints. Ill patrons reported visiting Sushi Nine restaurant between Saturday, November 28, 2023 and December 5, 2023. At least three people were laboratory confirmed with norovirus.

The restaurant closed voluntarily on December 5 and reopened on December 8, to allow for thorough cleaning and disinfecting.
