2023 Outbreak of Norovirus Genogroup II Associated with Iceberg Lettuce, Illinois

In November 2023, public health officials in Illinois investigated an outbreak of norovirus associated with a fast-food restaurant. Seventy-seven people were ill. One person was hospitalized. No one died.

The implicated vehicle of transmission was iceberg lettuce.
