2023 Outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis Infections at a Restaurant, Iowa
In October 2023, public health officials in Iowa investigated an outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis infections associated with a restaurant. Four people were ill. Two were hospitalized. No one died.
The implicated vehicle of transmission was chicken parmesan.
