2023 Outbreak of Salmonella Newport Infections Associated with a Catered Meal, Washington
In December 2023, Benton Franklin Health District officials investigated an outbreak of Salmonella Newport infections associated with a catered event held at a restaurant. Fifteen people were ill. One person was hospitalized. No one died.
The implicated vehicle of transmission was salmon with lemon caper butter sauce.
