2023 Outbreak of Salmonellosis Associated with a Prison, Ohio
In June 2023, public health officials in Ohio investigated an outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis infections associated with a correctional/detention facility. Nine people were ill. One person was hospitalized. No one died.
The vehicle of transmission was not reported.
