2023 Outbreak of Salmonellosis at a Correctional Facility, Kansas
In March 2023, Kansas public health officials investigated an outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis infections at a correctional facility. Sixty-one people were ill. No one was hospitalized and no one died. The implicated vehicle of transmission was chicken chili macaroni.
