2024 Outbreak of Shiga Toxin E. coli Associated with Cozy Vale Raw Milk, Washington
In mid-January and early-February 2024, 2 Washington state residents were infected with Shiga Toxin E. coli (STEC). One person resided in Grays Harbor and one person lived in Pierce County. Both drank raw milk produced by Cozy Vale Creamery shortly before becoming ill.
On February 16, 2024, Cozy Vale Creamery in Tenino, Washington announced a recall of raw milk and cream because of contamination with STEC.
