2024 Outbreak of Norovirus at Los Angeles Times 101 Best Restaurant Event, California
In December 2024, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health investigated an outbreak of norovirus among people who attended the Los Angeles Times 101 Best Restaurant tasting event held on December 3, 2024.
The implicated vehicle of transmission was raw oysters supplied by Fanny Bay Oysters and sourced by Santa Monica Seafood which was a sponsor of the event.
More than 80 people were reported to be ill.
