2024 Outbreak of Norovirus-Like Illnesses Associated with Stoneburner Restaurant, Washington
In August 2024 an outbreak of norovirus-like illnesses associated with Stoneburner Restaurant in Seattle, Washington occurred. Meal dates ranged from August 11, 2024 to August 14, 2024. Seven customers were ill with symptoms consistent with norovirus. No one was hospitalized and no one died.
Public Health Seattle King County (PHSKC) closed the restaurant on August 21, 2024 for a thorough cleaning. During an on-site inspection on August 22, investigators learned that restaurant staff had symptoms of norovirus on or before the sick customers' meal dates.
