An outbreak of Salmonella Baildon was associated with eating at a Benton, Arkansas, restaurant. During the investigation, the Arkansas Department of Health learned that two employees who had sought medical treatment for diarrhea or vomiting. Several unsafe food handling practices were also identified. Two major violations were noted: the dishwasher had not sanitized properly, and cool foods had been placed directly on a hot holding steamer without first being rapidly reheated to 165 F.
