2005 Outbreak of Norovirus Linked to Seven Layer Salad, Illinois
An Illinois power plant cafeteria lunch containing a seven-layer salad left 23 employees with a stomach illness. An investigation by the health department showed the source to be the contaminated salad. No food workers were ill. The source of the contamination was not determined.
