2010 Outbreak of Campylobacteriosis at Campfire Lodge Resort, Montana
An outbreak of Campylobacteriosis occurred among persons who had been at the Campfire Lodge Resort, on Hebgen Lake, in Montana, in the West Yellowstone area. Health officials discovered E. coli and fecal coliforms in the drinking water system. The resort complex consists of a campground, cabins, and a restaurant and was served by two wells. It was the older well that was located underneath the restaurant that was contaminated.
