2008 Outbreak of Salmonella Muenchen at Casa Fiesta Restaurant, Ohio
A large, confirmed outbreak of Salmonella Muenchen occurred among people who had eaten at the Casa Fiesta Restaurant in Norwalk, Ohio. Salsa, rice, and beans were implicated as vehicles in the outbreak. In addition, several food workers were confirmed to be infected with the same strain of Salmonella Muenchen.
