Children who attended a birthday party at a Douglas County, Colorado, water park developed gastroenteritis. Exposure to the water at the water park was a risk for illness. Seven of the illnesses were confirmed to be caused by Cryptosporidium hominis. The implicated water park pool and three other pools in the county where one of the ill persons swam were hyperchlorinated.
