2009 Outbreak of Norovirus Among Cycle Oregon Participants, Oregon
An outbreak of Norovirus occurred in the final week of the 2009 Cycle Oregon event. The outbreak was spread person-to-person; there were no statistical associations of illness with food or water sources. There may have been a problem with availability of handwashing facilities. The numbers of ill increased during the week. Participants who used the Tent & Porter Service were found to have higher attack rates.
