2005 Outbreak of Hepatitis A at a Restaurant, Tennessee
An outbreak of hepatitis A began in April in East Tennessee. Health officials suspected that the case-patients were all exposed at a LaFollette restaurant in March. An employee of the Waffle House, not in LaFollette, developed hepatitis A in April. As a result, over 5000 persons were offered immune globulin injections to prevent hepatitis A infection.
