1985 Outbreak of Campylobacteriosis Linked to Raw Milk, California

Students, teachers, and some family members, made a field trip to a San Joaquin County, California, dairy farm. At the farm, some drank raw, unpasteurized, cow milk. The people who did not drink the milk remained well. Neither the cows nor milk were cultured, but stools from some of the case-patients yielded Campylobacter jejuni.
