River rafters reported gastroenteritis after traveling on the Colorado River. Interviews of other river rafters detected additional illnesses. The river rafting trips had used river water as their primary water source. Stool specimens from portable toilets and river water samples revealed the presence of Norovirus. This outbreak appeared to have been associated with drinking river water contaminated with noroviruses.
